Dog Park Etiquette

Make sure your dog is current on all vaccinations and is not ill.

Bring some water for your dog, and a leash (just in case).

Don't bring your dog if it is aggressive, or contageous.

Don't let your pet wander too far. Always keep an eye on them.

If the park is near a residential area, try to minimize the barking.

Make sure to bring something (like a pooper scooper or bags) to pick up the mess your dog makes; always clean up!

Check to be sure of the local rules. Some parks require registration, dog tags, or even that your pet be neutered. If in doubt, ask!

Dogs & Beach Access in New Jersey

Did you know that almost every beach in New Jersey allows dogs off-season? The dog generally must be leashed. Please call the municipality before hand and double check before heading down the shore with your pet.
